As part of the City of Abbotsford’s Multi-Year Active Transportation Plan, the Walking Infrastructure Program seeks to improve pedestrian safety and neighborhood connectivity. New sidewalks and crosswalk upgrades are considered in areas of high usage or where “vulnerable users” are present.
Under the civil contracting services of McDonald Ross Construction, Fraser City completed successful works at the following locations:
- Gladwin Road @ Bevan Ave
- Blueridge Drive @ Townhill Park
- Blueridge Drive @ Ennsbrook Drive
- Laburnum Road @ Palfy Park
- Whatcom Road @ Lower Sumas Mountain Road
- McMillan Road @ Sandon Road
- Gladwin Road @ Centennial Elementary
- Marshall Road @ Olive Road
