The Township of Langley is continuing to expand its network of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations for both the community and fleet vehicles, helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and lower air pollution. The Township operates 18 public level 2 charging ports across the municipality and is continuing to grow staff and fleet charging capacity at Township facilities.

A dedicated BC Hydro service was added to the municipal Operations Centre in Murrayville and 13 new EV charging ports were installed by Fraser City, including a public DC fast charger (the first of its kind in the neighbourhood).

The new electrical service was also future-proofed to support further electrification of the Township’s fleet at the Operations Centre.
